Dining Seat Inserts!

Bring your own set of seat inserts or chairs with fixed seats (no arms or backs) and join me for a fun and intensive re-upholstery workshop!

Duration: This workshop is TWO 5 hour sessions (with breaks)
Date: Saturday April 22nd & 29th 11:30am - 4:30pm 
Cost: $130 + HST 

Level: Beginner / no experience necessary 

Maximum number of Participants: 4

**Important Note: your dining chairs must be pre-approved prior to registration. I want you to be successful and my goal is to help you complete your project by the end of the workshop. Please see details below:

Class materials / Supplies: 

*Class fee includes personalized instruction specific to your project, use of pneumatic staple guns, staples, hand tools, sewing machine, twine, adhesive and hot glue

*common supplies such as poly fibre batting, cotton batting, muslin, jute webbing, burlap, welt cord etc are available for purchase in store if needed

*Bring your own appropriate amount of Upholstery Fabric for your project (I can advise on this). Or Nesting Ground has a small selection of suitable upholstery weight fabrics available for purchase in store

BEFORE Registration: please email photos of your chair and include LxW measurements of the seat area to info@nestingground.ca if you would like to know how much fabric you will need 

Once your chair has been pre-approved, register to reserve your space and please include your email address at checkout.     A detailed supply list and class outline will be sent out to all registered participants

Suitable chairs for this class are dining room chairs with seat only, either removable insert or fixed seat:
   
   1.Drop in seat
   2.Fixed seat

Not permitted: Dining chairs with upholstered arms and backs. If you have a larger chair such as an Occasional Chair or Wing Back Chair you would like to work on, we offer upholstery workshops for larger projects or send an email to info@nestingground.ca to inquire about a personalized Upholstery workshop 

Our Class Policies:

Nesting Ground's classes are small and intimate to help ensure participants receive enough personalized attention to learn and complete a project by the end of the session

**While every effort is made to support and guide you to finish, it depends on your ability, your project and its condition.

Participants must be a minimum of 16 yrs and must have completed our Learn to Sew Class or have equivalent experience for workshops that require the use of a sewing machine.

Payments & Cancellations: 

Register online or in person. Space is limited. To reserve your spot, all class fees must be paid for in full at time of registration. Please note, we do not issue refunds for missed classes. Cancellations or changes must be made 48 hours prior to your first class and we will happily issue a store credit towards another class. Cancellations made less than 48 hours of the class start date forfeit their fee entirely

Covid-19 Policies

The health & safety of everyone who visits Nesting Ground continues to be a priority. Face masks that cover your nose and mouth are encouraged but are not mandatory. We continue to ask that you continue to self screen and sanitize and wipe your hands with the sanitizer and wipes provided at the door
