There is something really special about restoring an upholstered piece of furniture. If you have wanted to tackle your own re-upholstery project but weren't sure how to begin, this is the perfect series for you.
Duration: This series is four, 3 hour sessions
**Important Note: your chair or project must be pre-approved prior to registration. I want you to be successful and my goal is to help you complete your project by the end of the workshop. Please see details below.
- An upholstered seat and back
- No arms or open arms with minimal or no padding
- Simple backs (a few buttons are ok)
- Large Dining chair
- Piano stool
- Footstool
- Drop in seats
- Small nursing chair
- small to medium occasional chair
- small to medium arm chair or small wing back chair
Not permitted: Oversized pieces, 2 seaters or sofas, projects with major foundation issues, channeling, attached cushions or significant style changes

Nesting Ground's classes are small and intimate to help ensure participants receive enough personalized attention to learn and complete a project by the end of the session
Participants must be a minimum of 18yrs for our re-upholstery sessions and must have completed our Learn to Sew Class or have equivalent experience for workshops that require the use of a sewing machine
*Materials and supplies are not included in the class fee unless otherwise stated
Payments & Cancellations: Register online or in person. Space is limited. To reserve your spot, all class fees must be paid for in full at time of registration. Please note, we do not issue refunds for missed classes. Cancellations or changes must be made 48 hours prior to your first class and we will happily issue a store credit towards another class. Cancellations made less than 48 hours of the class start date forfeit their fee entirely
Covid-19 & Mask Policy
Masks are no longer mandatory, however, the health & safety of everyone who visits Nesting Ground continues to be a priority. We ask that you continue to self screen and sanitize your hands before entering the shop. Hand sanitizer & sanitary wipes provided at the door.
